Araby Sayed – project document manager – shared his journey and explained “Thinking of the long history and the countless career stories within these 100years UHDE, I would like tell you a bit about my way at tkIS Egypt. I joined in 2004 at the site in Ain Sokhna where I started as a simple document copier for document controlling. Then 4 months later I was able to move to the office, after I graduated from high school. I reflected back then, that it would be worth to gain more skills and continue learning – so I joined the University and took English and computer courses to hence my skills. In 2010, and a few years later in 2014 I was happy to be promoted to an assistance document controller joining the Cargill project of tkIS Egypt. It was training on the job by shadowing with my colleagues to learn the SAP – Document Management System and through the great support of our whole team I succeeded finalizing the needed tasks in the project. Five years later I was chosen to be the document manager for the EDC cracker project that tkIS Egypt is executing near Alexandria. Since 2019 I am glad to be able to satisfy the trust that the management has put into to me and I still have more to add to myself and my company.I am grateful to thyssenkrupp for giving me the chance to personally grow and build my career path.
It was our first time to get to know how persistent our colleague Araby Sayed followed his goal andmade his dream come true. He is really such a valuable team member which people can look up to.
Wishing him the best for his ongoing UHDE journey.
