For our customers in the automotive industry, we are the system partner for all key components in the car body and powertrain process chains. We have more than 100 years' experience in overcoming technical limitations through innovation. We achieve this with quality, comprehensive engineering skills and a great deal of passion for projects.
We offer series production in the automotive sector for some very discerning systems and components. This includes bodywork in particular. So where our high level of materials expertise within the group joins up with our considerable experience in systems engineering and die manufacturing. Conventional materials as well as lightweight products are machined, such as for start-up and ending of serial production, and for the spare part requirements of customers.
The direction of a project is set in the initial phase. Therefore it is even more important then, that decisions are made with an eye on the entire production process. It begins with highly-qualified project planning and proposal preparation, and is not complete until together with our customers we are sure, that all processes are optimized within the Budget.
We at thyssenkrupp System Engineering are both: a manufacturer of turnkey test facilities, individual test stands and test systems and supplier of valuable know-how. Together with our customers, our engineers are constantly improving test scenarios for combustion engines or transmissions.
As much modularity as possible, as much individuality as necessary. The standardardized modules we work with can be combined in a modular system. At the same time the test system is growing with the customer requirement. Custom-tailored, custom-fit, tested for reliability.
We feel at home in the technical implementation of complex assembly systems for internal combustion engines and drive systems -and that worldwide. We know how fast our customers must respond to new markets and market developments. As we have already been accompanying and advising them early in the planning phase, we can also support them with comprehensive engineering services. We are close at hand and can offer customized support. Our product range is structured modularly, including all the components for manual, semi- and fully automatic assembly of engines, transmissions or axles. We also offer pre-assembly of cylinder heads and gear sets.
Technically complex final assembly tasks are our specialty. As a system supplier with distinctive competencies in prototype construction, tool making, plant engineering and service, we can offer expertise across the board. From manual assembly fixtures to the fully automated integration of pre-assembled modules: We will support our customers by offering appropriate solutions right up to the finishing touches.
We will accompany the entire process from component advice, planning, development, design and production, to the handover of systems ready for final assembly and series production.
Bodywork generally comprises one line production process and multiple cell production processes. Hundreds of individual parts made of steel and aluminum are joined together gradually. Within the separate areas, individual parts are first joined into subcomponents such as engine hood and side panels. These components are joined together to make a car body in line production.
thyssenkrupp System Engineering dies are highly valued because we are specialists in exterior shell parts as well as complex structure parts. We are able to produce high quality sheet metal forming dies for car body parts from steel and aluminum materials, as well as from high and extra high strength materials.
We can therefore offer our customers the entire manufacturing process – from coil preassembly to end-of-line testing. Our quality principles apply here as well: All under one roof – as a system integrator we control e-motor assembly and ensure top quality processes and products. In this respect we rely on tried and tested tools and methods which we continue to develop – from manual assembly tools to fully automatic stations for the assembly of complex components.
Many years of experience have produced instruments that have proven themselves in numerous processes and with many partners in the automotive industry. Our solutions become the standard when a conceptual idea has taken shape in completed projects and through constant refinement. Standard solutions must fulfill their specific demands at the highest level while also remaining sufficiently flexible to allow hassle-free integration into our customers' manufacturing environment.
Unique in this form in Central Europe: thyssenkrupp System Engineering covers the requirements for the entire spectrum of prototype body construction with its about 130 employees and the equipments at its Wadern-Lockweiler location. The entire process chain can be handled or implemented at a single location – from engineering, to forming dies, parts manufacturing, to fixtures and assemblies even the setting up a system as well as retrofitting a system.
Maintenance means to us the safeguarding of productivity over the entire product life cycle. We deploy custom maintenance models to assist our customers with the preservation and improvement of availability and quality of production systems.
Changing location? Short realization time frame? We have the turnkey solution ready to hand, worldwide. We take off your hands the conversion and/or relocation of production systems – not just of machines and equipment delivered by ourselves. We offer turnkey solutions at fixed prices for relocations – regardless of where the journey takes you.
Together with our customers, we develop solutions which ensure increased efficiency. We analyze and optimize processes, and thereby introduce transparency into spare parts management. This approach means minimal process costs arise in spare part management. With detailed pre-sales consultation, we are able to identify risk parts up front, and thereby minimize conditional outage times.
The professional training of employees is the key to success. Employee qualification levels which meet the respective requirements guarantee productivity during system operation. They raise the level of in-house expertize when faults occur, heighten occupational health and safety, and ensure maximum quality. Goal-oriented training results in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. We also notice a higher level of employee satisfaction at our customers. We at thyssenkrupp System Engineering provide not only the organization and holding of training on our own products, but also on the complex units from our technology partners.
