Unique in this form in Central Europe: thyssenkrupp System Engineering covers the requirements for the entire spectrum of prototype body construction with its about 130 employees and the equipments at its Wadern-Lockweiler location. The entire process chain can be handled or implemented at a single location – from engineering, to forming dies, parts manufacturing, to fixtures and assemblies even the setting up a system as well as retrofitting a system.
thyssenkrupp System Engineering dies are highly valued because we are specialists in exterior shell parts as well as complex structure parts. We are able to produce high quality sheet metal forming dies for car body parts from steel and aluminum materials, as well as from high and extra high strength materials.
We offer series production in the automotive sector for some very discerning systems and components. This includes bodywork in particular. So where our high level of materials expertise within the group joins up with our considerable experience in systems engineering and die manufacturing. Conventional materials as well as lightweight products are machined, such as for start-up and ending of serial production, and for the spare part requirements of customers.
Bodywork generally comprises one line production process and multiple cell production processes. Hundreds of individual parts made of steel and aluminum are joined together gradually. Within the separate areas, individual parts are first joined into subcomponents such as engine hood and side panels. These components are joined together to make a car body in line production.
We can therefore offer our customers the entire manufacturing process – from coil preassembly to end-of-line testing. Our quality principles apply here as well: All under one roof – as a system integrator we control e-motor assembly and ensure top quality processes and products. In this respect we rely on tried and tested tools and methods which we continue to develop – from manual assembly tools to fully automatic stations for the assembly of complex components.
We feel at home in the technical implementation of complex assembly systems for internal combustion engines and drive systems -and that worldwide. We know how fast our customers must respond to new markets and market developments. As we have already been accompanying and advising them early in the planning phase, we can also support them with comprehensive engineering services. Our product range is structured modularly, including all the components for manual, semi- and fully automatic assembly of engines, transmissions or axles. We also offer pre-assembly of cylinder heads and gear sets.
