The proven energy-saving grinding system
For new plants, the POLYCOM is economically superior to conventional system concepts. Used as an independent finish grinding mill, the HPGR has an energy requirement which is only 40 to 50 percent that of a classical ball mill, making it the most efficient grinding system on the market. Combi grinding systems with HPGR and single compartment ball mill operating in closed circuit with a separator achieve efficiency rates similar to those of roller mill systems.
The POLYCOM is also predestined for use in system extension measures aimed at achieving maximum throughput increases. Due to its low space requirement and high capacity in relation to machine size, the POLYCOM can be easily retrofitted into existing plants.
Uneconomical plant components can then be shut down, slashing operating and maintenance expenses.
The mill feed material can be dry or moist. If necessary, the material can be predried. When the POLYCOM is used solely for grinding granulated blast furnace slag with a high moisture content, the drying can be carried out in a separate .
