Capabilities
Engineering excellence characterizes our project work. At the heart of our engineering packages are the unique Group working concepts that endorse our commitment to world class engineering.
Our engineering activities are structured around creating a project-specific blend of engineering solutions based on fundamental concepts and our extensive working experience, that will finally ensure customer satisfaction through economical processes, shortened project cycles and cost benefits.
Activities revolve around:
Knowhow, Process Design Package / Basic Engineering Package provided by the Licensor / Client
Basic Engineering by our Process Team (selected processes *)
Integration of the Knowhow package into the Basic Engineering Package (BEP)
Detailed Engineering
*For selected processes and units like Caustic Soda-Chlorine, Chlorine Dioxide, Cryogenic Storages and Offsites/Utilities, we undertake complete Basic Engineering
The design of your plant is carried out using advanced electronic design tools like Plant Design Management System (PDMS) / Plant Design System (PDS) and IRP (Integrated Piping Package) on modern computerised systems. Our constantly updated ensemble of design tools and software extends to all our engineering disciplines. Prominent among these are:

In addition to these, we deploy a number of in-house developed software and systems for various engineering requirements and calculations. Our PDMS / PDS / Microstation workstations can be deployed over 24-hour work shifts to accommodate project deadlines.
We place very high emphasis on executing our Clients projects within the stipulated time frames and budgets. In line with this client-conscious approach, each mega-contract is implemented using a dedicated Project Execution Team comprising the Project Manager, Engineering Managers, Lead Engineers and a carefully assembled engineering contingent from our engineering pools. These Project Teams take care of our technical and commercial aspects during the life of the Project.
Project Teams are assigned a special location and infrastructure in our facilities, so as to achieve quick realisation of project milestones and seamless coordination of all activity, between members of the team as well as between the Client, Licensor and Vendors.
For smaller projects, we adopt the Production Unit concept, where lead team members working on the project, draw support from the centralised disciplines and engineering pools in the organisation.
Construction is the final stage in our EPC journey of excellence
Construction is an integral part of the services we offer our customers. These service are of 2 types
Comprehensive construction services which we render as part of an EPC-LSTK contract
Construction Management Services which we render as part of a PMC or EPCM contract
It is always our endeavour to bring you the best in reliable, economical, environment-friendly and modern technology, so that your plants are optimised for performance, resilience and output. Range of Services
Our association with many of our Clients prestigious projects have begun with the Pre-Project activities like Project Identification, after Clients have expressed their desire to channelise their resources in a turnaround Chemical Project. For others, who have approached us with the projects in mind, we have been able to contribute to their project plan with the selection / provision of the appropriate technology and the necessary tie-up with the concerned Licensor.
Our expertise also extends to assisting you with the selection of the site , and its evaluation and development vis-a-vis the necessary infrastructure of power, water, environmental and statutory clearances. Our Pre-feasibility Studies and Detailed Feasibility Reports help our Clients in the technical and commercial viability aspects of the projects they are embarking on.
Lastly, for those Clients looking to secure assistance from financial institutions, we offer Project Financing Advice. Our Asset Evaluation Reports also offer useful technical and commercial opinions for Clients looking to reach business decisions with regard to second-hand plants.
Engineering constitutes the next phase in the life of the project, with the decision to embark on the project in place. Our engineering activity revolves around the Process Design Package (PDP) and Basic Engineering Package (BEP) which is received from the Licensor / foreign Contractors. For select processes, we undertake the Basic Engineering ourselves, and where necessary, can also offer Extended Basic Engineering assistance. The BEP is integrated into the Project Plan through our Detailed Engineering activities, and executed across all our engineering and design disciplines, using UTE (Uhde Total Engineering), our unique working concepts, and by employing well-proven design / engineering softwares and tools.
We are in a position to also offer FEED Package Services based on Basic Engineering Packages of Licensors.
A well-executed project is typically characterized by the seamless integration of the Engineering Phase into the Project Management phase and related aspects. Our systematic project implementation procedures ensure the right use of techniques and skills as well as good coordination and cooperation between all project players and partners. All activity is overseen by the dedicated Project Manager who acts as the interface between the Client and his Project Team.
Our expertise extends to providing Project Management Consultancy Services for Chemical Projects. As in other mainstream EPC-EPCM assignments, we dedicate a separate Project Team for the PMC work, where the Project Manager acts as the interface between the Client and the main Engineering Contractor.
Our experience covers PMC Service assignments for Petrochemicals, Refinery and Metallurgical projects.
