thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions’ state-of-the-art technology for the production of hydrogen, synthesis gas or carbon monoxide (CO) involves steam reforming of hydrocarbons. The reforming step is followed by dedicated process steps, depending on the final product. These process steps may comprise prereforming, water-gas shift reaction, hydrogen and CO purification. Based on customer-specific requirements an optimized process concept is offered, taking into account capital expenditure and operating cost.
thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions offers licensed technology with projects ranging from basic engineering to execution on an EPC lump sum basis. The top-fired UHDE steam reformer has proven itself in numerous applications in ammonia, hydrogen, syngas and methanol plants around the world.
For the direct supply of hydrogen, syngas or carbon monoxide, thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions has an agreement in place with Praxair Inc. (ref. link on this page). This cooperation enables clients to procure industrial gas supplies from Praxair while thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions provides the design of such plant for Praxair.
