Due to the usual tear and wear of the refractory block during regular operation, leakages due to cracks, leaky joints and damage to the brickwork can occur and maintenance work like ceramic welding could prolong the life time of the heating walls until bigger repair works are required.
By using the ceramic welding technique, open joints can be closed and surface damage and unevenness of the brickwork repaired and leveled. This work can be executed during normal operation without shutting down the oven. It is a so called “Hot Repair” method.
It can be applied to the different areas of a battery, such as: heating walls, floor, regenerator, charging holes, door frames.
Your advantages
- Prolongation of the life cycle of a battery
- Repair during operation of the battery (hot repair)
- Minimum production loss
- Recovery of the battery performance
